Congratulations on receiving your Interstate Authority, now you must make sure you are completely legal and ready for the DOT audit.
You must comply with all Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.
The Drug & Alcohol program is required if you fall in any of these categories;
-A vehicle in excess of 26,000 GVW
(gross vehicle weight)
-Any size vehicle combined with another
vehicle in tow that exceeds 26,000 GVW
-A vehicle of any size requiring placard
-A vehicle designed to carry 16 or more
passengers including the driver.
The Drug & Alcohol program prices are determined by the number of drivers, see below
Number of drivers annual fee
1 driver 129.00
2 driver's 168.00
3-5 199.00
6-10 39.00 per driver
11-20 33.00 per driver
21+ 29.00 per driver
All driver's will be placed in a random testing.
You would need to include a 65.00 pre-employment drug test fee to the above price. Pre-employment drug tests are mandatory for all driver's.

Does not matter if the driver is the owner of the company, it is required.
